{"id":113,"date":"2019-06-04T07:31:42","date_gmt":"2019-06-04T07:31:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theinspireacademy.com\/blog\/?p=113"},"modified":"2022-09-21T12:18:44","modified_gmt":"2022-09-21T12:18:44","slug":"front-office-executive-job-description","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theinspireacademy.com\/blog\/front-office-executive-job-description\/","title":{"rendered":"FRONT OFFICE EXECUTIVE- JOB DESCRIPTION"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Position Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Accommodates guests of hotel by greeting, performing guest transactions, answering the telephone, operating necessary front office equipment, etc. to ensure high-quality guest relation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Technical or Administrative Knowledge<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.<\/li>\n<li>General knowledge of computers.\u2028-<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Special Skills and\/or Abilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains professional appearance and demeanor at all times.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Description (continued) Essential Functions include but not limited to the following &#8211;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.<\/li>\n<li>Issues room key to guest.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for proper key control and other security measures.<\/li>\n<li>Answers telephone in absence of telephone operator.<\/li>\n<li>Transmits and receives telephone messages and sets up guests\u2019 wake-up calls.<\/li>\n<li>Date stamps, sorts, and racks incoming mail and messages.<\/li>\n<li>Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.<\/li>\n<li>Keep records of room availability and guests\u2019 accounts. Operates the front office computer system. Makes photocopies if needed.<\/li>\n<li>Computes bill, collects payment, and makes change for guests.<\/li>\n<li>Makes and confirms reservations.<\/li>\n<li>Posts charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone, to guest folio.<\/li>\n<li>Makes restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations for guests<\/li>\n<li>Deposits guests\u2019 valuables in hotel safe or safe deposit box.<\/li>\n<li>Checks out guests and inquires about their stay.<\/li>\n<li>Promotes and supports Brand Voice and Brand initiatives such as Priority Clubs and Associate Programs.<\/li>\n<li>Actively builds awareness of the Brand to guests.<\/li>\n<li>Provides and ensures high-quality guest relations. Receives and resolves guest complaints in a manner consistent with company policy. Makes Manager on Duty aware of any guest complaints.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains the desired levels of quality assurance ratings, including guest comment cards, accounting audit and inspection scores.<\/li>\n<li>Confers and cooperates with other departments as needed to ensure coordination of activities.<\/li>\n<li>Works toward a 90% walk-in conversion rate goal.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures Inn compliance of all company policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Adheres to all safety procedures and informs management of any unsafe conditions.<\/li>\n<li>Attends meetings and training as requested.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other duties may be assigned based on company needs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Position Summary Accommodates guests of hotel by greeting, performing guest transactions, answering the telephone, operating necessary front office equipment, etc. to ensure high-quality guest relation.
